The Social Studies Department of Primary Section paid tribute to India’s one of the greatest personalities-Dr.B.R.Ambedkar by conducting activities for the students of Std III, IV and V, in the month of April, 2019. The activities included a special assembly and Fun Bonanza Quiz.

With the intention to help children gather information about Dr.Ambedkar and draw inspiration from his life, students gave speeches about him during the class assemblies in the month of April. The display board on the second floor, foyer area was filled up with the details of his life history and great achievements. The students were encouraged to read the information and then attempt the Fun Bonanza Quiz conducted on Sunday, 28 April, 2019 at 9:30 am. Total 52 students participated in the quiz and 16 were declared the winners of the quiz.

The special assembly was conducted by Mrs.Sufeera , Class teacher of Class 5 C, on Wednesday, 24 April,2019 from 8:15 am to 9:00 am in the assembly area. The programmes included a speech on Ambedkar, a skit to show the importance of equality in society and to highlight the role of Dr.Ambedkar as a spokesperson of the untouchables and backward caste people. The assembly ended with a quiz on the life history of Dr.Ambedkar.
